PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
- Young girls between puberty and marriage wear this dress. Girls younger than this may wear it on special occasions.
- It comprises a lengha or paavadai, a skirt which is tied around the waist using string, and a voni or davani which is a cloth usually 2 to 2.5 metres in length. The davani is draped diagonally over a choli ( a tight fitting blouse, the same as that worn with a saree). The modern day lengha style saree, worn by Indians across the subcontinent mainly for special occasions.
HOW TO MAINTAIN
► Dry cleaning is the most excellent way to handle.
► Do not wash with inferior quality material or bright colours.
► Option for a protein shampoo with warm or cold water.
► Keep away from twisting or wringing.
► Do not soak the and bundle up for long hours.
► Keep away from drying in direct sunlight
► Do not iron directly.
► Maintain the iron in medium heat only.
► It is supposed to be stored in a cool, dry place.
